Shotgun - The Shotgun is the third gun acquired in the game. It's found while freeing the sphere carriage in Act 3. You can focus the pistol by aiming and remaining still for a short amount of time. It allows the user to fire small bug rounds, holding a total of 8 bullets in its chamber. Pistol - The Pistol is the second gun acquired in the game. You discover it following the mine segment in Act 1. It allows the user to fire a bolt that retracts after use. The Bolt Rifle - The Bolt Rifle is the first gun acquired in the game. Your old body will then be referred to as The Corpse in the walkthrough as it plays a key part in the final sequence of the game. After allowing the machine in the palace to transfer you consciousness, you'll switch bodies. The Corpse - The Corpse only comes into the game during the very final moments of Act 5. These can then be loaded into guns or absorbed for health. When inserted into a health or ammo station, it'll be injected with health orbs or stuffed with ammo pods. Stock Spider - The Stock Spider is acquired during Act 2 and acts as both your ammo and health pouch. When you see a door with a lock featuring what looks like a constellation beside it, you'll be able to use this to open it (providing you have a high enough key level to use it). The protagonist has to solve four puzzles to fully upgrade the key, allowing him to progress.įlesh Key - The Flesh Key is acquired during Act 2 and is a means of the protagonist opening locked doors. Skeleton Key - The Skeleton Key is the complex key contraption found during the opening of Act 2. Using the Spike Contraption will allow him to temporarily break the tentacles, causing prolonged damage but giving him the ability to use his hands. Due to the parasite almost fully taking over the protagonist's body, his hands will be covered in tentacles, preventing him from interacting with objects. Spike Contraptions - The Spike Contraptions are only used during Act 5. When interacting with one, the protagonist will fully stock their grenade launcher. Grenade Launcher Reload Station - A unique Reload Station only found during Act 5, the Grenade Launcher Reload Station looks like a big pod filled with grenade launcher mags. Stepping on one will open a metal grate in front of you, allowing you to fire grenades into open shafts to create new paths. These elevated metal platforms are found on the floor. Pressure Plate - Pressure Plates are a machine encountered frequently during Act 5. You'll need one to solve the Loading Bay puzzle, with the protagonist being tasked with freeing one to progress. These large spherical orbs move you between inaccessible areas. Each machine provides a single level-up and can only be used once.Ĭarriage Sphere - Found in the Loading Bay segment of Act 3. These machines allow the protagonist to upgrade the flesh key, providing access to higher-level locked doors. Key Upgrade Machine - The first Key Upgrade Machine crops up in Act 3. It provides bullets for the pistol and shotgun. It's a vending-machine-esque contraption that the protagonist can use by inserting the Stock Spider into a slot. The spider will then be injected with four health orbs that can be used at any point going forward.Īmmo Station - The first Ammo Station is found in Act 3. Health Station - The first Health Station is found in Act 2. When near one, equip the bolt rifle and interact with it to open up the door ahead. It's the large, cylindrical organism that allows the protagonist to cross to different pathways using a tunnel.īolt-Rifle Control Panel - A control panel that's operated using the bolt rifle. The Bridge Machine - The Bridge Machine is found in Act 2. The first one is encountered during Act 1. These allow you to access the control panels found throughout the world. Key Implant Machine - The key Implant machines are the various cylindrical contraptions found throughout Scorn that install key devices into the user's arm. We'll separate each of the terms into categories, including machines, enemies, weapons and items. As you follow the walkthrough, we'll highlight the term used for each object or creature when it first appears in the campaign, but in case you're jumping in for a specific section, below you'll find a key to help you identify what we're referring to. As such, the walkthrough has put together a range of terms to help easily identify items, guns, recurring machines and enemies.
